- Turn of your PlayStation 3 and connect the HDMI cable into the HDMI OUT slot on the back part of your PS 3. The other end must be connected to the HDMI port of your LCD HDTV.
- Follow through the process by setting your LCD HDTV to HDMI display mode. This will allow your television to display high definition images for you PlayStation 3.
- Once you turn on your PlayStation 3, the logo will appear and you will be asked of you want to output audio and video using HDMI. Answer Yes to this question. You will then be asked if you want to automatically switch the setting to its optimal state to which you should also answer Yes. This option will allow your PlayStation 3 to set to the maximum resolution that may be supported by your LCD HDTV. The PS 3 setting should then adjust automatically. You will then be asked if you want to save these settings for future use. Select Yes to this question and your settings will be saved and applied whenever you use your LCD HD television for your PlayStation 3.
- PS3 problems errors about resolution usually appear when people try to set their resolutions to levels not able to be supported by the television set. Remember, setting your PlayStation 3 resolution to options that cannot be supported by your television will lead to bad quality.
